Exams & Promotions

  • The Examination pattern followed is as per the CBSE guidelines of NEP and to ensure continuous, comprehensive and gradient learning happens.
  • A minimum of 33% is required to pass in each subject for Classes I – XII.
  • Pupils if absent from an examination for any reason will not be re-examined. If the absence is justified, the fact will be taken into account during the promotion process at the end of the school year, following regulations of the Education Board.
  • Any use of unfair means detected during or subsequent to an examination is liable for punishment at the Principal’s discretion and in serious cases, the student will have to repeat the class or may even be expelled from the school.
  • A student who fails in any examination will be deprived of his / her fee concession.
  • Results of examination are final and will not be reconsidered. The annual examination answer books will not be shown to anybody. However, Final exam answer books can be reviewed at the discretion of the Principal and on payment of a fee.
  • Promotion once refused will not be reconsidered.
  • Promotions to higher standards are granted on the basis of marks obtained in the examination and the year’s record of work.
  • The year’s record of work consists of the following.
    i) Passing in all the Scholastic (main subjects) and Co-scholastic (Moral Science, G.K., Work Education, etc.)
    ii) The day-to-day written work including compositions, homework, daily lessons, periodical assignments, notebook and file work, etc.
    iii)     The individual traits of character, such as good conduct, discipline, regularity, punctuality, a sense of responsibility, co-operation, social skills, attitudes towards School, Teachers, Classmates, and School programs, etc.
  • All cases of doubts regarding promotion are left entirely to the discretion of the Principal and his decision will be final and binding on all.
